Angel Kangalee, Kundalini Reiki Master, Usui Reiki Master, Intuitive Empath Healer

For some, the word “REIKI” may be in their everyday vocabulary, or it may already be a full-fledged way of life; for others, it may have no meaning at all. To me, Reiki is a huge part of my life, for it has changed my life in ways so numerous that it would be hard to recount them all. You may be wondering how Reiki became such a major force in my life. What is the big deal and all the buzz about Reiki? Well, please allow me to share with you what I know so that you, too, will be able to enter into, and fully appreciate, the wonderful world of Reiki!

We all have the natural ability to heal ourselves, and others. This ability is a gift given to us from God. When we experience physical pain in our bodies, such as a stomachache, or a headache, the first thing we do is place our hands over the place where we feel pain. Why do we do this? The answer is simple. Even though we may have forgotten the healing power that can radiate from our hands, our spirit subconsciously remembers.

When we receive a Reiki treatment, or are attuned to Reiki, we re-remember what is already in us, and our physical, emotional, and spiritual parts start to operate in unison and come alive! Coming from a Christian background, I have always believed in the power of prayer, healing from the laying on of the hands, and all of the other spiritual gifts that are given to us by the Holy Spirit. Simply put, to me, Reiki is the laying on of hands on either ourselves, or others. A Reiki session involves a Reiki practitioner, and a recipient who is open to receive the healing power from the practitioner. The Reiki practitioner lays his or her hands on the person, says a prayer, and directs healing energy to flow through their body into the recipient’s body. The healing power is innate, and it knows where to go in the recipient’s body.

Some Reiki practitioners believe that healing comes from a higher power, or “from the universe.” Based on my Christian belief, I believe that healing comes from God. Sometimes, Christians figuratively relegate their concept of God to a little box with limited understandings and ideologies. However, the more I learn of Him, and experience Him through prayer, worship, and meditation, the more I appreciate how vast He is, how wide, and how infinite He is.  A human’s mind truly has trouble appreciating the depth and the breadth of Him.

In 2005, my sister introduced me to Reiki. As she was explaining it to me, I heard God speaking to me, saying “I want you to learn this so that you can heal, teach, and pass on this gift to others that seek and desire it.” That is what I have been doing ever since. In 2005, I was attuned to all 3 levels of Usui Reiki, and in 2007, I was attuned to all 3 levels of Kundalini Reiki. Reiki has helped open my eyes and heart more fully to God’s Truths, and not just the personal truths that I have learned from others, or from my personal reflections and analyses. Reiki has allowed me to experience the spiritual realm in a way that I never would have imagined, or thought possible.

When I teach Reiki, attune a person to Reiki, or conduct a healing session for someone, not only is the recipient benefiting, but I am, too. In fact, I typically am overwhelmed by the presence of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Angels. After a healing session, or an attunement, the recipient tends to experience one or more of a wide range of sensations. For example, some become free of illnesses in their bodies, whereas others find that, finally, they are able to let go of long-held anger, hurt, or unforgiveness. Others feel an all-encompassing sense of peace and love, have visions of various sorts, or hear God speak to them. I am amazed each time I see God’s love heal on all levels, and each time I am in total awe of Him.

I hope that this glimpse into the world of Reiki has sparked a special interest in your heart and soul, and that you desire to learn more about it.

Finally, remember that we all have the gift and power to heal both ourselves, and others. Remember, too, that God wants us to be free, and available to help others become free and healthier through His love and grace. I wish you the highest Peace and Blessings over the remainder of your life’s most important journey!
